The ways we gain new insight in the wastewater industry, keep up with the latest trends, and interact with others are changing as a result of current events. While this shift towards a more remote model changes how we learn and communicate, it doesn’t change the abundance of information available. Countless digital resources have cropped up from professional associations and wastewater media outlets and can be accessed regardless of your location.

(NASTT) Virtual Course Series, North American Society for Trenchless Technology

NASTT is offering virtual “Good Practices” courses, carrying on a series formerly held in person. These virtual courses cover a range of topics, including installations, rehabilitation, cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), municipal sewer grouting and pipe bursting. Sessions include real time Q&A opportunities with expert instructors. Cost varies.

WEFTEC Connect, WEFTEC, Oct. 5-9

WEFTEC Connect

While the in-person WEFTEC conference and exhibition are cancelled this fall, the Water Environment Federation is offering a virtual event to provide attendees with an immersive online experience. The fully virtual event will boast a combination of live, interactive, scheduled learning events; more than 400 on-demand technical presentations; 1:1 appointment scheduling with exhibitors; virtual meeting rooms; and more. Cost varies.

PWX@Home Spotlight On... Series, APWA

PWX@Home

The APWA is providing monthly online educational sessions, exhibits and networking opportunities. The virtual sessions are released on the second Tuesday of each month through July 2021 and focus on a range of topics, including operations & maintenance, leadership & management, sustainability and water resources. Single session: $50 for members, $75 for non-members.

WEF Webcasts, The Water Environment Federation

WEF hosts multiple webcasts each month presenting on a variety of industry themes, like the future of sewers and optimizing PACP deliverables. Each webcast is an hour and a half to two hours long. Webcasts are free to members and $40 for non-members. Archived webcasts can also be accessed online—some of which are available at no cost
